This time, in addition to master-piece bags, I’ve selected items with outstanding materials and details from brands we haven’t fully introduced in previous blog posts.

A Sling Bag Embodying the Essence of master-piece
The bag I’m introducing is a sling bag from the CIRCUS series.
It’s an item packed with master-piece characteristics such as mixed materials, coloring, and gimmicks.
The material uses tightly woven domestic nylon with a special dyeing method, giving it a natural wrinkled texture and subdued luster. It pairs perfectly with various fashion styles regardless of the season.
The front pocket is a common detail throughout the series and opens with a magnet.
Small items can be easily accessed without taking the bag off.
I recommend storing frequently used items like handkerchiefs or lip balm.
When worn on your back, bringing it forward positions the main zipper upward, making access easy. The zipper is approximately 30cm long, allowing easy access to water bottles and long wallets.

Now let me introduce the apparel brand “White Mountaineering” that we carry. Established in 2006, the brand develops apparel that fuses three elements: design, practicality, and technology. Please also check out their Instagram.
From White Mountaineering, I’ll introduce two types of outerwear.
White Mountaineering × TAION -RIPSTOP DOWN JACKET-
First, let me introduce this piece. It’s a high-quality jacket that balances outdoor functionality with urban design.
*“TAION” is a Japanese brand that makes high-performance inner down wear, with the brand name derived from the Japanese word for “体温(body temperature)“.
■Material & Features [40D Ripstop × Water Repellent × High Insulation Down]
The outer material uses 40-denier ripstop nylon, offering an excellent balance of lightness and strength. Additionally, with water-repellent finishing, it’s reliable even in light rain or snow, common in Kyoto winters.
■850 Fill Power Down [Down 95% Feather 5%]
As a fill power reference, it uses down exceeding 800 fill power, which is said to be the highest quality level capable of handling harsh environments like snowy mountains. With abundant down content, it’s thoroughly warm yet very light, providing stress-free comfort for long outings and travel.
For reference, typical down products use Down 80% / Feather 20%. There are various reasons for this ratio… but the explanation would be quite long, so please ask us at the store.
■Honda’s Impressions
After Trying It On First, I was amazed by the “lightness.” On top of that, it’s thoroughly warm, with a well-balanced feel that makes me reach for it on days when I wonder “which should I wear today?” The presence or absence of the hood dramatically changes the atmosphere, so even simple styling doesn’t get boring—I love that aspect.
The silhouette has moderate roominess but isn’t oversized—it’s “a balance adults can easily wear.” For those looking for a “front-line outerwear for daily use,” this is definitely a piece to try.
WINDSTOPPER RAGLAN BLOUSON
Next is this piece. As the name suggests, it adopts WINDSTOPPER® material. Its greatest appeal is firmly blocking Kyoto’s “piercing winter wind” while remaining comfortable without stuffiness.
The silhouette features raglan sleeves with a relaxed fit. There’s no tightness around the shoulders, and even with a knit underneath, movement is easy, so it’s active from autumn through winter to early spring. You can enjoy various wearing styles depending on how you fasten the buttons.

The outer material uses fabric from Italy’s long-established fabric manufacturer “LIMONTA EAST.”

■Honda’s Impressions After Trying It On I personally noticed three points:
① Exceptionally wind-resistant Even against Kyoto’s winter north winds, there’s no feeling of wind entering inside, maintaining body temperature.
② Silhouette variation The expression changes with how you fasten buttons and open/close the zipper, offering wide styling versatility. With a silhouette that’s hard to duplicate, it’s also easy to use for mode-like styling in the city.
③ Lightweight comfort It’s lighter than it looks, with almost no shoulder burden, so there’s little stress as everyday wear. I recommend it for those seeking a versatile outerwear that’s “thoroughly warm, functionally excellent, yet not flashy.”
